National Lutheran Schools Week 2026

A week of celebration, worship, and joy in Christ-centered education

Each year, Lutheran congregations and schools across the country celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week, honoring the role of Lutheran education in nurturing faith, knowledge, and service. This year’s theme, drawn from Psalm 98:4, “Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” calls on students, families, and congregations to reflect on God’s work through Lutheran education.

On Sunday, January 25, Redeemer Lutheran Church will mark the beginning of the week with a special worship service. The congregation will sing “Let Us Make a Joyful Noise,” a hymn written especially for younger voices, and the children of Redeemer Lutheran Preschool will perform early in the service. Their participation highlights the joy and energy that children bring to our faith community.

National Lutheran Schools Week celebrates how Lutheran education supports growth beyond academics. Rooted in the Gospel, it fosters compassion, service, and community while emphasizing that every lesson and relationship in a Lutheran school has lasting significance. Throughout the week, schools explore joyful praise, worship, acts of service, community, and life in Christ.

Redeemer Lutheran Church and Redeemer Lutheran Preschool are honored to participate in this national celebration and invite everyone in our congregation and community to join.
