Beliefs.

Anchored in Christ. Guided by His Word.

At Redeemer Lutheran Church, our beliefs are at the very heart of everything we do. They guide how we worship, serve, teach, and care for our community. We believe that faith in Jesus Christ transforms lives and that the Bible offers timeless truth and comfort in a changing world.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Savior of the World.

Matthew 3:17 | 1 Timothy 1:15
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to save all people from sin and death. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He offers forgiveness, hope, and eternal life to everyone who believes in Him. Our worship and daily life are centered on following His example of love, sacrifice, and service.

We are called to share the Good News with everyone.

Matthew 28:19-20
As disciples of Jesus, we embrace the Great Commission by reaching out to our community, building relationships, and demonstrating Christ’s love in tangible ways. We encourage our members to live boldly in faith, inviting others to experience the hope and salvation found in Jesus Christ.

There is one true truine God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 3:16-17 | John 10:30 | John 14:26 | 1 John 5:20
We believe in a triune God: three distinct persons in one divine essence. God the Father creates and sustains life, Jesus the Son redeems humanity through His sacrifice, and the Holy Spirit guides, empowers, and comforts believers. Understanding the Trinity is foundational to our faith and worship.

All people are sinful and separated from God.

Romans 3:23 | James 2:10
Sin is a reality that affects every person, creating a barrier between us and God. Recognizing our need for redemption helps us live humbly, rely on God’s grace, and extend forgiveness and love to others.

Salvation comes by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

John 3:16 | Ephesians 2:8-10
We do not earn salvation through works; it is a gift from God received by faith. This truth transforms how we live, shaping our actions, priorities, and relationships. At Redeemer, we teach that living in gratitude for this gift leads to a life of purpose, service, and spiritual growth.

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16 | 2 Peter 1:20-21
We believe the entire Bible is God’s Word and the ultimate guide for faith and life. Scripture provides wisdom, direction, and comfort, helping believers make choices aligned with God’s will. We study, meditate on, and apply Scripture in worship, Bible study, and everyday life.

We uphold the truths confessed in the Apostle’s Creed and the Book of Concord.

These historic confessions summarize essential Christian beliefs and provide a framework for understanding the Bible. They connect us with the global Christian community and the Lutheran tradition, helping us live faithfully and teach others with clarity and confidence.
