Nara Newcomer has been the Parish Musician at Redeemer Lutheran Church since 2017, bringing creativity, musical skill, and leadership to every service. She earned a B.A. in piano with a minor in sacred music/organ from Bethany College and holds master’s degrees in music history and library science. Nara also leads the music and media library at UMKC, balancing her professional responsibilities with her dedication to worship at Redeemer.

A native of Salina, Kansas, Nara enjoys biking, folk dancing, traveling, and spoiling her nieces and nephews. Her music leadership enhances congregational worship, creating an uplifting, welcoming environment where members can connect with faith and community through song.
